Ford ZX-2 Wheel Vibration

Q. Hey Vince, I own a 2000 Ford ZX-2, 2.0 liter Zetec engine, manual transmission, disc brakes up front, drums in back, and I've got a problem. Recently, my team and I put 205/60R15 tires on the car, which are slightly bigger than what comes stock. At higher speeds, 50+, the car seems to have vibrations, especially coming from the steering wheel and steering system.

Ford ZX-2 Wheel Vibration

I'm wondering, what could be causing this and if there's a way to fix it? These are the tires now and they look great and handle fine at 45 mph, but seem to lose it on the interstate. It's not a huge vibration, but I need to find a way to dampen the ride at higher speeds.

Thanks so much and I think it's great what you're doing helping people!!

A. It sounds like the new wheels and tires need to be balanced at a tire service center equipped with a high speed spin balancer, this should solve your vibration.
