Camry Fuel Pump Q. Dear Vincent, Do I need to drop the tank for fuel pump access on a 1987 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder?? Your recommendation on a good internet parts source for the pump?? Your recommendation on a good source for parts for old Cadillacs?? 1963 year model. Thanks for the help.

A. There are three places where the electric fuel pump is mounted. In the tank, and the tank has to come down to replace it. A frame mounted pump that, obviously, can be replaced without dropping the tank. And an engine mounted pump. Why Toyota couldn't make up their mind where to put it, I don't know.

When I buy parts online for my cars, I use a company called Performance Products. They do carry some of the older Cadillac parts but to what extent, I don't know. You can order a free catalog from them.
