Chevy Suburban Cold Front, Warm Back

Q. I have a 1997 Chevy Suburban 2500 4x4 with a 454 engine. My back air conditioning only blows warm air but my front is fine. What kind of troubleshooting can I do to find the problem?

Chevy Suburban Cold Front, Warm Back

A. Do you own a set of pressure gauges for R-134a? If not, you can't do much except make sure there is air flow out of rear unit. My guess is there is low refrigerant in system. You can't tell unless you evacuate it and see how much comes out. The new machines will pull it out and weigh it.
