Drive Gear Cable And Drive Gear Identification Cable Removal Procedure:
Located on the right hand side of the Steering Column, just below the Bowl is the Gear Shift Mechanism and the Drive Gear Identification cable.
The Picture above shows how to remove.
First, with a flat blade screwdriver, placed under the end of the Gear Shift Cable, pry upward and unsnap the cable from the Gear shift lever.
Then unsnap the cable protection and lock sleeve on the gear shift cable so the cable can be released. Then slide out the slot.
Unhook the Gear Identification cable and slide it through the same slot. Looks like fish line.
