Mitsubishi Diamante Running Badly

Q. My friend has been working on a 1992 Mitsubishi Diamante with 3.0 liter SOHC V-6. He has changed several parts including the timing belt. He replaced the computer and that seemed to fix the problem, but when they shut the engine off and started it back it seemed to be firing on only two cylinders.

Would appreciate any information. STUMPED!

A. I would check to be sure the injectors are working correctly and that the secondary ignition system is good and that spark is getting to the spark plugs.

Have you checked the PCM for codes? That will point you in the right troubleshooting direction. Did you put in a used PCM? If you did, the part numbers must match exactly.
