Toyota Tercel Vibration While Braking Q. Hello Vincent, Before I ask my question I want to let you know how cool I think it is that you not only write articles on About.com, but that you make yourself available for questions and even phone calls. I would have called you, but it is 10:17 pm pacific and I wasn't sure if we were in the same time zone. Anyway I really appreciate your willingness to help.

I am noticing a vibration, and accompanying sound which seems to be coming from the driver side front wheel when I brake at speeds above 50 mph.

• 1.5 liter
• 4 Speed Manual transmission
• 115,000 miles

A. There's two distinct possibilities here. One is the front rotors are warped and need to be resurfaced or replaced. The other is a bad wheel bearing.

Either way I would have it checked out as soon as possible. This could be a dangerous problem.
