Honda Civic Has AM But No FM

Q. Hello Mr. Ciulla, I have a 1995 Honda Civic EX 4 door. I can no longer get FM on my car radio. However, the AM reception still works fine. When I click on an FM station, there is no sound, no static, nothing. Then when I try to do a station search on FM, the electronic display freezes.

Honda Civic Has AM But No FM

Normally when I do a station search on AM, the numbers move upwards and keep moving until a station is found. But when I search on the FM side, nothing happens. The display is frozen, the numbers won't move. Have you ever heard of this happening before? I'm going to go to the dealer next week, but was just curious on what your thoughts are.

Thanks,
Jerome

A It sounds like an internal radio problem. There's not much that can be done except to remove the radio and send it out for repairs. If I remember correctly, Honda has a radio exchange program. They take yours out and install a reconditioned unit.
