Cadillac STS Bouncing Ride

Q. Good Day Vincent, I had recently purchased a 1993 Cadillac STS with 135,000 in Doha, Qatar. Driving at the speeds of 15 to 25 mph the front right would raise and lower in a bouncing motion as if it had oval tires? I rotated the tires and I'm still having the same problem. The symptom would go away while driving at 55 mph then comes back at 65 mph and feels like there's ruts on the road. Steering feels fine and smooth.

Thanks in advance,
Mark

A. I would try rotating the tires in a modified X rotation and see what happens. Most of the time the cause of the symptoms you describe is due to bad tires. Especially if the tires are old and the roads are in generally rough shape.

If you can definitely rule out bad tires, then I would have to say you probably have a bad right front shock.

My feeling is it's a tire problem, however I can't prove it.
