Honda Accord Door Handle Rod Fell Off Q. I have questions I want to ask. My car is 1994 Honda Accord. I opened my left front door panel yesterday and I accidentally pull the door handle and the wire hook just fell off suddenly. Not the one that attached to the door handle, but the other end. My question is any ways to fix it? Or I have to replace the whole wire? Thanks a lot, Jim

A. The rod (red) is probably not the problem. More likely it just popped out of the plastic retainer (blue) or the plastic retainer broke. You will have to see which.

You may be able to find them at the larger auto parts stores like AutoZone or NAPA. Just bring one of the old ones with you to be sure you get the correct ones.

Otherwise you will have to go to the dealer and see if they sell them separately from the whole latch assembly.
