Isuzu Trooper Speedometer Cuts Out Q. I am having problems with my Isuzu Trooper: every third or fourth time I drive it, the speedometer does not work or stops working while I am driving and I can only get to about third gear, after that I simply rev higher and higher. The mile gauge also stops turning. Any ideas what could be causing this? Isuzu Trooper 3.1 liter turbo diesel Automatic transmission 60,000 miles Many thanks, Giulia

A. Sounds like a bad speedometer cable or Vehicle Speed Sensor. Depends on the year.
