Nissan Altima Modified; Now Stumbles Q. Hi Vincent, My son has a 1995 Nissan Altima 2.4 liter manual transmission with 160,000. He just modified with a high performance cold air intake manifold and within a week started experiencing an occasional studder in the cars performance. Any comments and advice are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brian's Mom

A. Want my honest opinion? I would tell him to take it off and get his money back. The only thing it will improve is the manufacturers bottom line.

If he doesn't like that option, then he will have to take it to a speed shop and have someone who knows what brand and type of manifold it is and let them tweak the engine for it.
