Cadillac Seville STS Inside Door Handle Q. I have a 1995 Cadillac Seville STS. The inside driver door handle broke and I need info on repair or replacement. Thanks, Lance

A. The first thing you'll have to do is remove the door panel.

Remove Or Disconnect:

1. Window and door lock switch trim plates.
2. One screw in door lock switch plate area.
3. Insert flat bladed tool between upper rear corner of carpet attached to door trim panel. Disengage fastener and fold back carpet. Screw under carpet.
4. Screw in center of carpet area.
5. Trim panel by lifting up and out to disengage hooks on trim panel from holes in door.

Install Or Connect:

1. Trim panel. Align hooks to holes in door and push in and down on trim panel.
2. One screw and two screws.
3. Fold carpet flush to trim panel and engage fastener.
4. Switch plates.

When the door panel is off, you will see the door handle. If I remember correctly, there is one screw and then it slides back and off. Remove the linkage rod from the handle, being careful not to break the plastic retainer. Then simply reverse the procedure to install the new door handle.
