Nissan Sentra Blower Motor Died

Q. I have a 1993 Nissan Sentra. The heater and A/C was only working on HIGH which after reading your site I believe that to be the blower motor resistor. But before I was able to replace that part it stopped working now no speed works not even high. Is that still the blower motor resistor or now do I need to replace the blower motor????

Any advice or help I will take I am going to try to replace it myself.

Thanks,
Brandon

A. Your first assessment was correct, if you only have one blower speed, HIGH, then you have a blown blower motor resister. But now that you do not have any speeds at all, it's starting to look like you have a blown blower motor resister and a bad blower motor.

The Blue/red wire at the blower motor is a direct power feed. With the key ON, you should have power there. If you do, ground the blue/white wire and the blower motor should run. If not, it's no good.

Both are easy to replace and require no special tools. The blower motor resistor is held in place with two screws and the blower motor with three screws.
