Jeep Grand Cherokee Wheel Clunk
Q. My son has a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, it suddenly developed a clunking noise in the front passenger side wheel. I took it to the shop and they supposedly eliminated the sway bay, bushings and shock. I can see a gap on the sway bar linkage where there is a bushing on the driver side.
I though the bushing had failed but the garage insists that is not the problem. On the driver side, the linkage has large blue bushings, but on the passenger side they seem to be to small, since you can see a gap in the assembly.
Any ideas??
VinceQ. The stabilizer bushings (20) should be the same on both sides and if there is a gap on the side making the noise, it's a pretty good bet that the problem is in the bushings.

There was a TSB issued by Dodge on the premature wearing of these bushings and offer an improved bushing, P/N 52088094.
