Chevy Pickup Engine Swap Q. I have a 1974 Chevy Pickup, 350 cid short block and automatic transmission. It's a ½-ton with a ¾-ton driveline and I want to know if it is possible to drop a 454 long block in it? If so, what would I need? Thanks for the help, Steve

A. You'll need the engine and all the bolt on stuff like the distributor, water pump, fuel delivery systems and wiring harness. Then you'll need to figure which engine mounts you'll need, the 350 or 454.
