Oldsmobile Silhouette Low Traction
Q. Hey Vincent, I have a 1999 Oldsmobile Silhouette. It has an automatic transmission and ABS brakes. The low traction control light comes on when shifting to DRIVE and no pressure on the gas. It feels like a slippage in the transmission, Are the two related in anyway?
The history of this vehicle has been problematic, new engine and steering rack 73,000 miles and a new fuel pump one month later. I believe the ABS computer has been replaced at 60,000 miles. Any ideas on the LTC situation?
Thanks,
MikeA. You need to get it scanned for ABS codes & have the data checked. If the trans is slipping I guess it could give you a low traction light. Check the ABS data first.
