Dodge Neon Front Wheel Bearings
Q. I have a 2001 Dodge Neon and need to change front wheel bearings on one side. I have the hub off the car, but how do you remove the old bearing and splined portion? New bearing has been ordered, but want to get the old one apart!! Please Help!
- 2001 Dodge Neon
- 2.0 liter
- Automatic transmission
- 57,000 miles
- Fuel Injection
- ABS brakes
- P/S, A/C, Cruise control
- Rack and pinion steering
Thanks!!
ErnieA. Take my advice and when you get the new bearing, take the steering knuckle and new bearing to a machine shop and let them press out the old one and install the new one.
You'll never do it in the driveway without a hydraulic press, wheel stud removers and bearing splitters.
