Replacing A Toyota Camry Fuel Pump Q. I have a 1990 Toyota Camry and I would like to know if I have to drop the fuel tank to change the fuel pump? And just where is it located?

A. On this one you have to drop the fuel tank. The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank.

There are seven small screws that hold the fuel pump bracket on. Be very careful when you remove and reinstall them. They get damaged easily coming out and strip very easily if you over-tighten them going in.
