Isuzu Trooper Transmission Add And Fill

Q. Hi Vince, Hope you don't mind a dumb question? My Mom has a 1991 Isuzu Trooper with a V-6 engine and an automatic transmission. We looked at the manual and cannot find the transmission fluid reservoir. I checked the fluid level and she needs some added but where is the filler case located. I found the dipstick and the power steering fluid reservoir but no automatic transmission fluid fill tank.

All the manual shows is a picture of the tank with a cap on top left and a fill plug on lower right. Is this NEAR the dipstick? Please! We're desperate here. Help us out if you'd be so kind.

Thanks a lot. You're a lifesaver.

A. There is no "transmission reservoir". The transmission is filled through the dipstick tube. There is a special funnel that has a long, thin neck that fits into the tube and allows you to add transmission fluid to the transmission.

The funnels can be found everywhere, parts stores, Wal-Mart, Sears and K-Mart all carry them.
