Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera Fuse Boxes
Q. I have a 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera, 4 cylinder with auto transmission. Mileage is 183,000, has power steering, A/C and Cruise Control. All in good working condition. My problem is with the interior. The radio/clock display, cigarette lighter, ceiling light, and trunk light have all stopped working.
I have checked all the fuses that are in the fuse box located in the glove compartment. I bought the car used and it did not come with an owners manual. Is there another fuse box located elsewhere? I have looked but cannot find one. Any ideas?
A. Not sure if there is more than one fuse box. Have you looked under the hood? This does sound like a blown fuse for the courtesy circuit. How did you check the fuses? Did you pull each one out and look at it? If you checked with a test light and had power on both sides of all fuses, the bad one may have a short and have power on both sides causing it to blow.
Fuse Panel: Behind RH side of I/P, in or near Glove Box.
Convenience Center is located behind RH side of I/PThe fusible links are located at the starter.
