Cube Van Security Light Q. Hi Vince, Thanks for your help on the GM codes. Could you tell me anything about a security light that is on a 1999 cube van? It comes on from time to time and the thing won't start. What can you tell me? Thanks, Mac

A. There is a sensor inside the ignition lock cylinder that reads the key and time it takes to rotate from off to start. There may be a problem in a connection or the sensor. There is also a module involved. There may be a couple of bulletins out for this at a dealer. It all depends on if there is any stored DTC's in the security system module. Have a dealer check for codes first.
