Buick Regal Gauge Additions Q. Hey Vince, I have acquired a 1985 Buick Regal with a 3.8 liter V-6 engine, 24,500 miles. The dash lights as indicators are simply insufficient. What I want to do is install a Oil Pressure, and Temperature gauge. I need to know if there is a place on the motor/radiator can I find some sort of tap or anything that will accommodate a thermocouple and pressure gauge. Thanks, Dave

A. Yes. Most manufacturers of gauge units will list all the locations in their installation instructions. Oil pressure tap should be near oil filter. There should be a threaded plug on one or both of the cylinder heads in a cooling jacket.
