Pontiac Lemans Thermostat Location

Q. I have a 1990 Pontiac Lemans LE. It's got a 1.6 liter, automatic transmission, carburetted engine and 165,000 miles. I can't find the thermostat anywhere and the brake lights don't work when you hit the brakes. They only work when you turn the lights on. I have already replaced the switch for it and it didn't work. Can you help me??

Pontiac Lemans Thermostat Location

A. The thermostat should be in engine near one of the radiator hoses. The stop lights may have a module that controls them. The "Lemans" is a completely different car from any other GM car. It's made by some other company. Have you measured the voltage into and out of the switch? Check the wires in trunk?
