Honda Civic Timing Belt Replacement

Q. Hi Vincent, I have just bought a 1996 Honda Civic 1.4i with 47,000 miles. I have the service history but I don't know if its had a new timing belt fitted. The handbook says fit one every 28,000 miles. Is that right? It had a major service at 36,000 miles on other ones before but there is no mention of a timing belt been fitted.

Regards...
