Volkswagen Jetta Turn Signal Bulb
Q. Hi, I've been browsing around your site trying to find an answer to my question without bothering you. I'm afraid my problem is going to seem kind of dumb after reading other people's problems!! I need to change the bulb on my right front turn signal on a 1999 Volkswagen Jetta GLX. This may sound simple, but we can't figure out how to get into the darn thing.
When the fog light burned out, we finally took it to the dealer where they charged us about $60.00 for a five minute job and a $5.00 bulb. We don't really want to do that again, but can't figure it out. Please tell me it's something simple!!

And the only dumb question is the one that wasn't asked.
- Using screwdriver, carefully pry towing eye (lens) cover from turn signal housing retainer.
- Remove towing eye (lens) cover.
- Push in locking tab (arrow) and pull turn signal housing from bumper.
- Disconnect connector and remove turn signal housing.
- Install in reverse order of removal.
