Chevy Celebrity Won't Start In The Rain Q. 1985 Chevy Celebrity, 2.5 liter, 104,000 miles. When it rains the engine will not start. Cranks fine, but does not fire. When sunny out it starts right up? Cap and rotor look fine?

A. You don't say what the condition of the ignition components is. This sounds like it's time for a complete tune-up. Cap, rotor, wires, plugs. Check all the parts inside the distributor as well. Usually any drivability problems associated with wet weather can be traced to ignition problems. A coil that has carbon tracking can do it as well.
