Honda Accord Brake Rotor Warping

Q. My 1998 Honda Accord's front brakes always warp and cause vibration. I have had the same experience with previous 1990 and 1991 Accords. All have been 5-speed manuals. Are aftermarket rotors and pads any better than factory brake hardware? Or is this something I have to live with?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Jeff

Honda Accord Brake Rotor Warping

A. I don't know of any unusual problems with the Honda Accord brake rotors. Excessive warping of the rotors is caused by heat, either from a dragging caliper or a heavy foot on the brake pedal.

You can try aftermarket brake rotors but if either one of these conditions exist, they will warp as readily as the OEM rotors.
