Dodge Caravan Fuel Pump Removal Q. Can you tell me if my 1992 Dodge Caravan 3.3 liter 2WD has an access panel for removing the fuel pump, or must I drop the tank? Thank you for your help and I absolutely love your web site. Shane

A. The fuel tank has to come out to replace the fuel pump. That has a locking ring on the fuel pump/fuel sender unit. Refer to the illustration on how to remove it. Soaking the area with a rust penetrant will help ease removal.
