Ford Explorer P/S Fluid Q. Hi Vincent, I have what I think would be an easy question. I am living in Ecuador and I have a 1992 Ford Explorer with the early C2 type power steering pump. The manual says that the oil for this pump should be type F. Well here we can’t get type F. Everybody says they just put Mercon in. Do you know if this oil would be okay for this pump?
