Ford Mustang Cruise Don't Work Q. Hello Vince; I have an 1988 Ford Mustang LX. It is equipped with a 302 EFI OHV 5.0 liter engine, Borg Warner T-5 5 speed transmission. It has only 2,000 kilometers on the engine, but 202,000 kilometers on the chassis. The only options the car has is power steering, power brakes, and cruise control.

However, the cruise control has never worked since I bought the car two years ago. I am trying to find a schematic of the cruise control system with all the components, wiring and plumbing of the system, as well as a general description so that I may diagnose the problem, and hopefully get it working again.

A. Well Ryan, the best place to find all of that is in the reference section of your public library. They will have all the service manuals, vacuum and wiring diagrams along with the service manual that will have a step by step diagnostic procedure.
