Chevy Nova Turn Signal Flasher Q. I have a 1979 Chevy Nova and have not been able to find the location of the turn signal flasher unit. My book just says it is left or right of the steering column. Do I need to remove the dash? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Jim

A. Those GM guys were real creative when they installed those flashers. There is usually a little metal clip that the flasher is clipped to and it's usually installed onto a metal bracket near the column. This clip allows the tick sound to magnify slightly. If it was just hanging under the dash by it's wires you might not hear it. If all else fails, try to find another Chevy Nova that works and listen for it clicking.
