Lumina APV Inner Tie Rod Q. You helped me before Vince, please help now. Could you please tell me the steps and helpful hints to replace the passenger side inner tie rod on a 1995 Chevy Lumina APV Mini-van V-6 3800. How to unstake the pins etc. Thank you, Randy

A. There is a tool to remove these that makes it real easy. After removing the outer end, this tool which is like a real deep socket goes over the rod and clips onto the inner joint to unscrew it. After installing the new one is when you need to "stake" the flange to close the gap. Don't hit it so hard that you damage the rack.
