Honda Civic Service Costs

Q. Hi, I was looking to find out how much it cost to keep up normal (straight out of the owners manual) service checks on a 2002 Honda Civic. If you could give me a list of check up amounts it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You...

Honda Civic Service Costs

A. I can give you ballpark costs, but since Prices vary and the menu for each service is different from dealer to dealer, there is no way I can be more precise.

Well, every 3,000 miles you'll do an oil and filter change, including top off all fluids. This will run about $35.00 to $45.00.

Every 7,500 miles you'll get another oil and filter change, tire rotation and brake service. That will run about $150.00.

Every 15,000 miles you'll get another oil and filter change, tire rotation, brake service, air, fuel and A/C filters replaced. This will run about $200.00 to $225.00.

Every 30,000 miles you'll get another oil and filter change, tire rotation, brake service, air, fuel and A/C filters replaced. Also, transmission fluid and filter change. Cooling system service, tune-up and brake fluid flush. This service will run about $350.00 to $450.00.

At the 60,000 mile service I would recommend replacing the timing belt and water pump with the regular service. Honda says 110,000 miles for belts, but I have seen them break long before that. Replacing the timing belt with the water pump will run about $350.00.
