Honda Civic Headlight Bulb

Q. I have a 1995 Honda Civic LX and I'm having trouble with changing the right headlight bulb (near the windshield wiper fluid container). I've unscrewed bolts and screws but nothing seems to come loose so I can have access to the headlight. Help!

A. Here is a picture of how it's attached. Now these are generic diagrams so yours may be a little different. But it is very similar to what you have.

Basically you unplug the bulb, turn the retaining ring counterclockwise and remove it. Then remove the bulb. There is a vacuum inside the headlight assembly so the bulb will be somewhat difficult to remove. There is a key that will let the bulb sit only one way so keep this in mind when you install the new one.

Very important: Grasp only the plastic base when handling the bulb. Never touch the glass envelope.
