Truck Chassis And Body Q. We are interested in purchasing a step van. There are few different bodies and a few different chassis. Grumman Olson, Utilitimaster and Union city offer some solid bodies. Ford, Chevy, Freightliner and workhorse offer chassis. I am trying to research to find out about the chassis, and even the bodies.

However, I cannot seem to find a good source (if any) other than from salesman. Can you recommend somewhere to find a more unbiased opinion? Appreciate any help.

A. I don't know where you would go to find a comparison of chassis's and bodies. The only experience I have in this area is with the Nissan UD truck chassis. I can't speak for the others, but Nissan does make a good, solid platform for just about anything you want to put on it. But that is my opinion.
