Shaking Chevy 4x4
Q. I have a 1992 Chevy 4x4 extended cab with about 60,000 miles on it. When the speed gets above 60, the back cab seems to be shaking. Any idea why this is happening? The only thing I have done lately is haul a lot of rock for a fence I was building. The truck is not driven daily and only one time a month or so on the highway.
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
NatalieA. If you're feeling a vibration in the seat of your pants, it is usually isolated to the rear drive train. A bad tire (shifted belt), bent axle or drive shaft, Bent wheel, or bad universal joints. If it is a constant vibration, a good tech should be able to isolate it with no problems.
