Chevy Lumina APV Stalling

Q. Hi, I have a 1992 Chevy Lumina APV. About a month ago I was driving and out of the blue my van just shut off and wouldn't start back up. After about 20 minutes or so of being broke down the van just started right back up. Now it has done it a few times since then. Also my husband has tried changing some things on the van but it hasn't helped.

He has changed the plugs, wires, fuel filter. I also have another problem with the van. Last Saturday I had driven my van and when I parked, I had a very big puddle under it. We popped the hood and it looked like it was leaking from around the intake manifold. I quickly got it home and it didn't leak all week until this past Saturday and it started leaking really bad again and now it is still leaking.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could write me back and let me know what you think, and what you think can be done to fix it, other then taking it to the junk yard!!

Thank you,

A. The shutting off could be lots of things. Ignition module in distributor, pick-up coil, ignition coil, fuel pump, all kinds of things. It would help to know what is not present when it won't start, spark or fuel. As for the leak, they are prone to leak at the intake and coolant nipples. Not a DIY job unless you're real adventurous!
