Cadillac Leaks Water

Q. Me again, My Cadillac leaks water back at the back of the motor. Last summer my husband and brother in law put a heater core in and ever since then when it rains, water runs in. But this is new, now it leaks radiator fluid at the back. My husband jacked the car up and found no water coming from the heater core and the hoses are dry.

It doesn't leak all the time, but when it does, it really leaks. Mostly after we have added water, driven it a piece and the cut the car off. The pressure seems to make it leak more. Thanks for the help. By the By, the motor is a 307, 5.0 liter V-8 if that helps.

Dianne

A. There are many "freeze plugs" on this motor. One of them is probably rotted out. It could be on rear of the cylinder head or behind the flexplate.
