Century Goes Dead Overnight
Q. Sir, I have a question about my 1986 Buick Century. It has a 2.5 motor. It is a automatic transmission. It does have high mileage I think about 100,000. My problem is that lately when I leave the car sit overnight the battery dies by morning.
We thought that it might be the alternator, so we rebuilt it by adding new brushes and a new voltage regulator. It was tested and runs like new. But the battery still goes dead overnight. We also added a new starter to it and it didn't help. We even got a new battery. We tested all the fuses and they are all good. It is a new battery, we are lost on what it may be. Any clues?
Thanks, hope you can help.
EarlA. Make sure that some little light is not on all the time. Check and make sure the trunk light shuts off, the under hood light, glove box light and those little map lights on the rear view mirror if it has them. Also the mirror lights on the visors could be on.
