Turn Signal Flasher
Q. I'm trying to find the location of my turn signal flasher for a 1994 Cutlass Ciera. My turn signals don't flash but my emergency flashers do and I was sold a replacement flasher unit by my favorite car parts store and was pretty much assured that was my problem.
I've spent a couple hours already trying to find it on my car and even spent time at my local library looking at their Chilton manual but found nothing about my problem. I heard there may be a separate emergency flasher from my turn signal flasher but was not able to find either one. Please let me know if you know where I might find this little unit or where I may look for information about where it might be located on my Cutlass.
Thank you,
SteveA. The turn signal flasher unit is located on the bracket above the accelerator pedal. Have some band aids handy when you go digging for it.

Hi... We found a hit on the web site about locating the turn signal flasher on a 1994 Cutlass Ciera. Your suggestion said to look at a bracket located above the accelerator pedal. On our 1994 Ciera, the flasher isn't there.
We finally located it by removing the ash tray and found it mounted inside the dash just to the right of the hole left by removing the ash tray. Just thought I'd let you know that apparently GM couldn't decide where to put this flasher.

Depending on the model of Cutlass Ciera, it is located in one or the other places. It would make sense to put it in the same place on all makes and models but that would make sense and General Motors will not allow that.
