Cavalier No Hot Restart

Q. Hi, I am from Curacao, Netherlands Antilles (caribbean). A 1993 Chevrolet Cavalier 6 cylinder injection gas powered. After a long ride and naturally the engine is hot the car refuses to start until after a good 10 to 15 minutes wait. Local mechanics are at a loss with this problem. Or could it be that the mechanics of the Chevy dealer do not know anything?

A. You need to find out what is missing when it won't start, spark or fuel. It's pretty straightforward to do these basic tests. You'll need a spark tester and a fuel pressure gauge. Possible intermittent bad fuel pump, ignition module, crank sensor, ECM, lot's of possibilities.
