Voyager Oil Leak

Q. Hi, I have a friend that has a 1997 Plymouth Voyager (4 cylinder), and it is leaking a lot of oil. Her husband said that he does not think that it is the seal. Could you please give me some information on what the problem could be?

Thank you...

A. There are so many places an engine can leak oil and the Dodge four cylinders were notorious oil leakers it would be very difficult to tell you, for sure, where it is leaking from. The three most likely cause are the front crankshaft seal, rear main seal or valve cover gasket.
