Acura Brake Problem

Q. I own a 1992 Acura Integra GS-R. My brakes keep wearing out prematurely. I have installed aftermarket and Acura/Honda OEM pads and rotors. I have had the rotors turned on a machine and on the car. I have installed new wheel hub bearings, new axles, struts, tie-rod ends, brake calipers and I have even disconnected the ABS (to see if it was a problem with the ABS system).

Nothing seems to cure my problem. After I get the rotors turned, the steering wheel will begin to shimmy at higher speeds when breaking. But at lower speeds around town, it will break normal. After a few weeks of driving the rotors will get warped and I have to get them turned again. About the only thing I haven't replaced is the hub assembly. Would you be able to tell me in your opinion if a bad hub will cause brakes to wear out prematurely? Or any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Bryan

A. It sounds like the calipers are not releasing fully. If that is the case then the problem is with the master cylinder or the front brake hoses. If the brake hoses were pinched when the calipers were replaced, then it is possible the inside of the hoses are collapsed and not allowing fluid to flow back out of the caliper when the brakes are released.
