Jerking Grand Prix

Q. I have a 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix 3.1 6 cylinder. When I accelerate up a hill it jerks and hesitates. Sometimes the service engine soon light comes on and stays on for a couple of days. I've had the injectors cleaned and a cracked spark plug replaced. Could it be the oxygen sensor??

If so where is it located?? Any help you can give me is appreciated.

Thanks,
Ron

A. Well Ron, it could be the O2 sensor, but I think it's more likely a dirty fuel filter. This is a classic symptom of a partially clogged fuel filter and replacing it with a new one should fix your problem.
