Galant Transmission Information
Q. Can you please, oh please, help me/us. My husband has me surfing the net for a 1986 Mitsubishi Galant Transmission Manual, Engine 2.4 liter, transmission KM 175. He has been referring to Chilton's Guide to Automatic Transmission Repair, however, it is not specific enough and he is having difficulty rebuilding the transmission.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

DebbieA. Gee Debbie, I wish I could help you but the only place I know of that would have the information he needs is the Mitsubishi Factory Service Manual. He can get one at a Mitsubishi Dealer. Even my database does not give a detailed overhaul procedure.
For what it's worth, I never recommend a DIY to try to rebuild a transmission. This is a very advanced type of job on a complicated unit and should only be undertaken by someone with experience.
