Center Link???
Q. Good Day, I have a 1993 Pathfinder, 3.0 litre 5 speed with 180,000kms. I recently replaced a worn idler arm. I was told I needed a new center link as well. I'm not sure what part exactly is the center link. Stabilizer bar, torsion bar, etc. all look in good condition.
Any ideas what part this may be? Haynes has no reference at all to a center link. Jobber says everything is tight but I have a little shimmy or shake, mainly on deceleration.
Thanks in advance for your help.
A. The center link, (4) or drag link as it's sometimes called, connects the left and right wheels so they turn in time. The idler arm (6) supports it on one end and the pitman arm (5) from the steering box is on the other end.
