Pontiac Grand Idle Air Control (IAC) Motor
Q. For my 1994 Pontiac Grand Am SE, my Check Engine Light comes on and off and on again while driving, but idling seems to initialize it most of the time. The diagnostic test on my computer shows a code 35, Idle Air Control (IAC).
The trouble is, I cannot find where my IAC is. The Haynes manual shows a picture of it for a 6 cylinder and a 2.4 liter Quad 4, but my engine is an older 2.3 liter OHC Quad 4 fuel injected. I just can't find where it's at. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
A. The IAC motor should be located in the throttle body where the throttle cables connect to it. It will have a 4 wire connector.
Upper LH front of engine compartment.
