Reinstalling Pontiac Grand Prix ABS System

Q. Hi Vincent, I was just lucky to find you, been looking for weeks on the Internet. I have a:
  • 1989 Pontiac Grand Prix SE
  • 2.8 liter V-6
  • Automatic transmission
  • 140,000 miles
  • ABS
  • Full options
Pontiac Grand Prix

Now my problem is that when I bought that car they had removed the ABS and brake master cylinder.

Now I'm looking for a guide because I can buy used ABS drum and brake master cylinder but I have no idea how to put it all together because I didn't remove it. Been looking under the hood and there are so much wires and brake lines that I don't know where they are from. I have been reading your guide for the master brake but do u happen to have it in .pdf format.

And if I may ask, where the ABS and brake should be? I could see my engine block. There is a hole in there with a little spring??? (I think should be a screw in there or something.) Does that connect somehow to the brake or ABS?? If it will help I could take a picture and send it to you. Maybe I could help me with a guide with pictures. I'm asking you this because I love my American car but here in Belgium there is little to none to find about this.

Thanks in advance,
Marc

A. There were two types of ABS systems used in that vehicle, so I would need to know which one you have.

In any case, the amount of information and number of diagrams would make it impossible to include here and I don't have anything in .pdf format.

However, if you check out one of the online service information services, personally I use ALLDATA, they will have all the information you need to reinstall the ABS system.
