Toyota O2 Sensor

Q. Hello, I have an 1988 Toyota pickup 4x4 V-6, I am in the process of replacing the O2 sensor but am stuck at the wiring of it. I bought a Bosch universal 4 wire sensor. The factory wires on the sensor are colored 2 black, 1 blue and 1 white, the bosch sensor is 2 white 1 black 1 gray.

The chart that came with the sensor doesn't really help much and I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask you. I know I should have bought a direct replacement but there was a big price difference in the 2 ($80- $171) so Got any ideas on this?? I appreciate any help you can provide.

Tony

A. I wish I could help you with this, but I never used a "universal" type O2 sensor. I can tell you what the wires on the original are for, but I have no clue how the Bosch one is wired.

I'm sorry I can't help you.
