Hissing Nissan Pathfinder
Q. Whenever I start my car (cold engine), I get a squeaking sound when I back up the driveway... In addition, I hear hissing sounds when I shift to 1st and 2nd gear... However, after about 10 minutes, I don't hear these noises... Also, I notice that if I idle or warm up the engine for about 3-4 minutes, the "hissing" sound either disappears or I can't hear it all...

ThanksA. I don't know how much help I can offer you. Sounds, squeaks and rattles can come from any where. Without hearing them first hand it is very difficult to suggest possible causes.
I suspect that the hiss and the squeak are two different things. The squeak can possibly be a cold bushing. I would get a spray can of CRC 5-56 and spray down all the bushings really well and see if that takes care of that noise.
As far as the hissing noise goes, when you start the car up walk around the car and open the hood and see if you can isolate an area that it is coming from. Once you know the general area you'll be able to locate the noise specifically.
Sorry I can't be of more help to you. Please, let me know what you find.
